Honestly i am not a huge fan of cleaning the corn. I like to get lazy and buy already cleaned corn, but hey, its twice more expensive!

Oh, by the way, did you try my latest air fryer recipes? Corn on a cob would be a perfect side dish to Air fryer pork chops or Air fryer whole chicken.

Roasting corn in the air fryer is so easy and even beginner can cook it perfectly from the first try!

How to freeze corn

When i buy it in bulk in a summertime, i take time to freeze as much as i can for winter. All i do is i am cleaning the corn and place it in the zip lock bag. Try to push all the air out of the bag before closing it.

Here is a little trick i want to share with you, i learned it from my friends dad. Grab a plastic straw, place one side in the bag, leave a little opening and try to suck most of the air out of the bag. The effect is similar to a vacuum sealer, the result will surprise you!

Keep frozen corn in the freezer or up to 6 months. Then use it on soup, grill it or boil! No defrosting needed.

We definitely like corn cooked in the air fryer better than cooking it on the stove.
When you cook corn on the stove I think you lose some of the flavor and nutrients.

  2. Not to at all dis your freezing technique, but I have a 100 acre farm and rent out 50 acres. When they plant corn, and have a good crop, I get so much. I hate cleaning it as well. We leave it in the husk(freezer protection) no cleaning, put it in a paper bag and pull out how many ears we want to cook. Never had a problem boiling it, grilling it etc

  3. Any idea how I cook this in an air fryer oven (with racks). Temperature, rack position, etc. thanks for any advice!

  4. This looks amazing! I will look forward to summer when local corn is in season to try this. I think the air fryer is the perfect tool for corn. I especially love the carmelized bits. So good!

  5. You have 1 teaspoon butter listed for ingredients but no indication when to use. Is this side on corn “after” cooking?

    1. Hi, you probably missed the instructions in the recipe card. You need to rub the butter after the corn is cooked. Hope it helps.

  6. TBH, I had the basket air fryer, bought a new one with racks and other than placement of some items to keep them from rolling off the racks I fix everything the same as I did with the basket. 🙂 Thanks for the great recipes Titiana

    1. @Tawana,
Help. I just bought an air fryer with racks and I’m having trouble finding just basic recipes for it. Most are for the basket style. How do you know what tray to use, position, etc. thanks in advance!

Good reply!! ? I think we all got swindled with these air fryers. They are nothing more than a miniature convection oven with a fancy name so they could over-price them.

        1. Wait whaaatttt!! I just bought one. It has a basket. I have been reading all over Pinterest comments and recipes I don’t get it, do I put oil in the air fryer or do you just rub oil on your food
And put it on the basket ?
Thanks so much for any advice

          1. No oil in Air Fryer,it's a Air fryer only, you would ruin your air fryer, you don't put oil on the corn. Some recipes calls for brush alittle oil on it before places in air fryer.Read the recipe first before doing anything.

      2. Are there a place to get some recipes for the open rack type air fryers?? Or is there a basket of some type that can be used.?
        Thank you...

      3. @Joan, Amazon has one that I bought to use as an air fryer for my convection oven. Although convection oven manufacturers say you don’t need additional equipment, I found my food came out crispier using the fry basket. I’m out of town, sorry, to give you the brand. Look for one that looks similar to those copper pots & pans that were advertised years ago. Not sure but Gotham sticks in my head.

      4. @Joan,
Please let me know if you find any. Having same problem. Found a few at wave recipes on YouTube.
