Tips for cooking brussels sprouts in air fryer

Tip 1.  Dont overcrowd the air fryer basket. If you plan to cook a lot of Brussels sprouts, separate them into two or three batches and cook separately. Keep in mind that second or third batch will cook a bit quicker because the air fryer will be already preheated.

Tip 2. Choose fresh bright green Brussels sprouts. They need to be juicy and crisp on a touch.

Tip 3. Dont leave them whole, cut Brussels sprouts in half or even quarter them. It will help with cooking time and will allowed them to get crispy at all sides.

What temperature?

Typically brussels sprouts are done in about 10 minutes when cooked at 400 degrees. The need to be at least cut in half. Make sure to keep the temperature high to ensure crispiness.

If you will cook it at the lower temperature, sprouts may not be crispy.

Ingredients list

  1. Brussels sprouts
  2. Parmesan cheese, preferably grated by you (not in the package)
  3. Olive oil
  4. Pepper, salt

Idea: bacon wrapped Brussels sprouts

Bacon goes so good with any kind of vegetables and comes out so delicious! Just wrap each of your Brussels sprout in a piece of bacon (bacon stripe) and place in the air fryer basket for the same 10 minutes. Make sure to gently sake the basket half way.

I prefer thin bacon for this dish because it easier to wrap . Use a toothpick to hold the bacon in place (I did the same with my favorite jalapeno poppers in bacon recipe).

Idea: Balsamic Brussels sprouts.

Balsamic vinegar adds a special taste to the dish, makes it more sweet, tangy and add more flavor. To get the best out of it, mix equal amount of olive oil and balsamic vinegar (about 1 tablespoon each for a pound of sprouts) and mix them together. let them sit in the marinade for a few minutes and then air fryer like usual.

This recipe would be your perfect side dish for steak, steak or chicken kebabs, salmon or shrimp. its easy to make and only takes about 10 minutes to cook. You would not regret making this recipe!
