Tender tilapia, cooked with your favorite vegetables over rice noodles- easy and delicious weekday dinner meal!
This dish is so easy to make and even more easy to eat! Ask my kids. They just love rice noodles. That’s why its so many of them in the dish pictured (the actual recipe is calling for less- in the end of this post). I just know every time I cook any type of pasta , its definitely never enough noodles for my little eaters.

This tilapia rice noodles stir-fry will taste very good also with salmon instead , or shrimp. I actually want to put it on a new level and make it with crab next time! Yum! Check out this Beef stir-fry with asparagus, so good!
I added some hoisin sauce here, just because I fell in love with its sweetness and its flavor, really trying to find a spot for it in every second recipe.
Tilapia rice noodles stir-fry
Ingredients
- 8 oz tilapia
- 1 bell pepper yellow
- 1/2 onion chopped
- 1 tsp hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 tomatoes
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 6 oz rice noodle
Instructions
- Start with heating oil in a pan over medium high heat. Add onion and bell pepper and cook for 3 minutes until fragrant, stirring.
- Chop tomatoes and add to the pan along with minced garlic. Add hoisin sauce and soy sauce, stir. Cook for a minute.
- Meanwhile cut tilapia into 1 inch pieces and add to the pan. Season with salt and pepper(of course you can use another spices but i prefer it just like that:). Cook, stirring for about 2-3 minutes- don't overcook the fish.
- Cook rice noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and add to the pan.

Oh yum I love stir fries! Any reason you did not add any fresh ginger?
