Beautifully smoked in electric smoker chicken quarters covered with cajun seasoning. Get your summer grilling on!

Who loves summer grilling and smoking? We do! Not long ago i purchased my first smoker and started experimenting.

My masterbuilt smoker

This smoker was the most popular and inexpensive smoker on the market, so i gave it a try. Also i ordered a bunch of wood chip packages- Apple, Hickory, Mesquite.

Smoker gives your food that fantastic smokey flavor, that nothing can beat.

Electric smoker is very easy to use. Just plug it in, add preferred wood chips, your favorite type of meat or fish (or veggies!) and start smoking!

Its good to have a thermometer ready to stick into your smoking meat and just leave it there.

The alarm on the thermometer will inform you when the meat reached desired temperature.

The chicken is done at 165 degrees. I have a post about Pork Internal Temperature, check it out too!

How to smoke Cajun chicken

You will need to preheat your smoker to 275 degrees with your favorite wood ( Apple wood chips or Mesquite works awesome!).

Prepare the chicken by washing it, drying with paper towels and coating with Cajun seasoning.

Now its time to put it into your electric smoker. Make sure to keep your head away from the smoker when opening, it will be a lot of smoke coming out!

Leave it in the smoker for about 1 hour and a half. Check your thermometer, the chicken has to be 165 degrees ( 160 is fine, resting time will help it reach 165 degrees)

This is the easiest recipe for smoked chicken! Its so easy to make and your whole family will love it!

I’m living in Cajun country right now {Louisiana} and this tastes even better than some of the chicken I’ve had down here. I love this recipe! Thank you!
