Super easy corned beef made right in your air fryer. It comes out tender and ready supplement your st.Patrick’s day dinner.

sliced cooked meat

Who knew i will try to cook corned beef in the air fryer. I was pretty skeptical at first, but then i gave it a try.

So when you cook this type of meat in crock pot or instant pot, it takes long time for the meat to get tender. In air fryer instead, you cook it well from outside and keep al the juices in.

This way of cooking will not give you melt in your mouth tender meat, but instead you will get a nice juicy piece of corned beef, then you can thinly slice across the grain and enjoy with any meal.

Or, it will be perfect for additional recipes like corned beef hush , tacos or wraps. Just cut it finely and use as directed.

Did you ever wonder what corned beef is anyways? What cut of meat is it?

Brisket is traditionally used for corned beef. Then it cured in salt and cooked low and slow for maximum tenderness. In this recipe we cook it in air fryer so it doesn’t come as tender and but its so good for slicing and using in sandwiches.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb corned beef

Instructions

  • Wash the corned beef piece. I like to wash it really well to remove all extra salt. Place meat inside your air fryer basket.
  • Set air fryer to 300 degrees for 20 minutes. Then check on your corned beef and cook for additional 15 minutes on 375.
  • Once cooked, take it out and let the meat seat for a few minutes. Then slice thin and across the grain and enjoy.

Notes

Originally i had a 4 lb corned beef but i cut it in half
Keep in mind that corned beef cooked this way is good for sandwiches when thinly sliced across the grain. Also great in a breakfast hash recipe. The meat is not really tender when cooked!

Might I suggest wrapping the cb in foil for at least half the time? I boiled my cb first for 2 hrs. Then I popped it in the af for 20 mins wrapped in foil. Towards the end, I removed the foil. Nice texture/crust.

This was the worst corned beef I have ever had! I rinsed it several times but it was like eating a brick salt!

Washing the corned beef is brilliant, but the cooking method was not. The meat is came out beyond tough - it could have used a few more minutes of cook time as well. The recipe didn't have any mention of seasoning it, but I did. It is a bummer because the flavor was good, but the texture almost inedible.
