Easy and quick garlic ranch chicken wings recipe for your Ninja Foodi! So juicy inside and extra crunchy on the outside. You will love how simple is it to make restaurant style wings in your own kitchen.
Its not a secret anymore that i am in love with my new Ninja Foodi and creating or trying new recipes daily. And i just love how chicken wings turn out when i use an AIRCRISP air fryer function! Its just so easy and mess free, you will love it!
How to choose the right chicken
Fresh farm raised chicken is not always available around you and sometimes its just impossible to get it. If i have a chance to get a pasture raised chicken, i separate it in pieces and always freeze wings separately. When i have enough, i cook them together.
Store bought wings are nice to have too. They are usually more affordable and packed in big containers or bags. Try not to go for the biggest wings you see, plump and shiny not always mean good. Wings mostly sold whole and than i just cut and divide them in three segments. The top one i discard. There you have it, 2 equally delicious parts of the wing that are ready to be air fried.
How to make this recipe in Ninja Foodi
Like in most other poultry recipe, chicken can be marinated for extra flavor and texture. Prepare ranch dressing, fresh minced garlic (or garlic powder), some salt and pepper and rub it into the wings. I use a 1 gallon ziplock bag for mixing and marinating purposes. Add couple tablespoons of mayonnaise and mix it all up in the bag.
Now you can let it sit in the fridge for at least 15 minutes. Leave it for a few hours or overnight if you have time.
Would you like to save this?
When ready to cook, just dump all the wings into the Ninja Foodi air frying basket, close the lid and turn on the AIRCRISP setting.
Temperature and cooking time
It will take about 20 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for the chicken to get super crispy but stay juicy inside. If unsure, use the instant read thermometer, the internal temperature in the thickest part should be at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Don’t stick it right to the bone though.
Cook it from frozen
It super easy and convenient to cook frozen chicken wings in Ninja Foodi. You can make it two ways:
- Pressure cook and then Aircrisp. Add 1 cup of water in the pot, place wings in the air fryer basket and place the basket in your Ninja Foodi. Using MANUAL setting pressure cook wings for 5 minutes and quick release the pressure. Now carefully dump the water and place the basket back inside. Mix mayo with seasoning and brush wings. Close the lid and air fryer for 7-10 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Place frozen wings in the air fryer basket and cook at 400 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Turn them half time through the cooking.

Equipment
- 6.5 qt Ninja Foodi
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken wings
- 1 tablespoon Ranch seasoning mix
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoon mayonnaise
Instructions
- Wash and dry chicken wings with paper towels. Place them in 1 gallon zip lock bag. Add spices and mayonnaise. Close the bag and shake it. Marinate for at least 15 minutes. Few hours is possible (in the fridge)
- Open the bag and using thongs place wings in the Ninja Foodi air frying basket. Close the lid and push Aircrisp button. Cook at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes. Flip once. If the skin is not crisp enough, cook for additional 5 minutes.
Notes
- Serving suggestion: chop some fresh carrots, add celery stalk and serve with hot sauce on the side.
- If you are not a fan of Ranch seasoning, just use salt, pepper and ground garlic as your seasoning. It will be delicious!
- Dont overcrowd the basket. It will take much longer to cook wings or to get crispy skin if there will be no space for hot air to flow.
- If you want to double the recipe, cook it in two batches.
- Mayo is not essential in the recipe. It helps the meat to stay tender, but if you dislike it just skip that step. Only use dry seasoning.

Do you use parchament paper in your basket under the wings? That sounds like a good idea to keep clean up easy.

Hi!I only added the parchment paper for the photo. Not sure if its going to be a good idea since it might block the air form circulating during air frying.
